BOOKS AND ALMANACS

Open University "Dragutin Novak" is active in publishing industry. It aims to support publishing of those works signifficant to Ludbreg's literature, culture and history: works by authors from Ludbreg region and almanacs of public lectures and meetings being organized in Ludbreg.

Within the scope of Ludbregiana library, Open University issued works of Mladen Kerstner, Ružica Cindori, Irena Herenčić, and almanacs of scientific meetings on work of Rudolf Fizir and Mladen Kerstner. Along the Ludbregiana library, Open University issues annual haiku poetry almanacs.

Open University is actively supporting work of Ludbreg's authors by:
- publishing literary works;
- providing technical support;
- organizing literary promotions.
 
 
 
CD AND DVD EDITIONS
Along with printed publications, Ludbreg's Open University has recently started issuing modern media publications, such as: poput:
- DVD: 'Traditional textile handicraft techniques'
workshop
- CD: "Music fest 1.", popular music festival
- CD: Christmas concert
 
 
CATALOGUES AND GUIDES

Each of the exhibitions organized by the Ludbreg Open Universty is being endorsed by a corresponding catalogue, citing information on the author, and a list of items displayed. Workup, editing and distribution of these catalogues is mostly performed by the Open University's expert and technical staff.

Along with exhibition catalogues, Open University "Dragutin Novak" is also issuing different guides, such as the 2004 "Archeological guide through Ludbreg's Podravina region", thus raising the cultural and historical awareness in Ludbreg.

 
 
 
BROCHURES

Aiming to enhance the Ludbreg's tourist offer with additional cultural and historical contents, Open University is developing, graphically arranging, editing, publishing and distributing various brochures promoting cultural and historical features of Ludbreg.
Lately, the following brochures were issued:
Permanent sacral art exhibition – 2003;
Ludbreg castle – 2005;
Ludbreg: Shrine of the Holy Blood of Christ – 2005;
Ludbreg: Centrum Mundi (the Center of the world) – 2005;
Engineer Rudolf Fizir – 2005.



Publication of these and other brochures related to Ludbreg's culture, history and folk tradition will continue, as well as supplementing them with new information in the future. By these mainly advertising materials Ludbreg's Open University is attempting to leverage tourism – a trade closely related to all cultural events in Ludbreg.
